About

I’m Malaysian – Muslim by birth and by choice (Does it really matter, what religion I believe in?), liberal on one hand yet conservative in things that matter (like life , death and family). A puzzler by nature, literal by training – I write to clarify issues and to keep things in perspective for my personal satisfaction. and for fellow tribesmen. No political inclinations even though definitely old enough to vote and influence old and new voters. My hope is that a sense of collective responsibility and accountability will build up within the mind and spirits of all Malaysians and be translated into actions that will jolt us from our own apathy, shame us for our greed, rid us our fears and fuel our courage to do what is right. What is the right thing to do? That will be the recurrent theme of this blog.

Why have you not created an “About” page? What is exactly your political views? Who will you vote in the upcoming 2009 general election, if you have to choose from these choices of parties:

    1. DAP vs. Barisan Nasional ………………………………… [straight fight]
    2. DAP vs. Barisan Nasional vs. Parti Keadilan Rakyat .. [3-cornered fight]
    3. Barisan Nasional vs. Parti Keadilan Rakyat ………….. [straight fight]
    4. Barisan Nasional vs. PAS ………………………………… [straight fight]

Also, tell us what is your religious background?

Ok, I will also give you my answer to the above:

    1. DAP
    2. DAP
    3. BN
    4. BN

I am a Christian fundamentalist and I vote this way simply because I oppose Islamic fascism. Therefore, I strictly oppose both PAS and PKR because they are both one and the same party dedicated to establish a fascist state in Malaysia.

I call for Pas to be banned in the way Germany banned Communist, Nazi, Islamic parties because all three are anti democratic and anti human rights. However, German law allows Muslim parties that are not Islamic just as they allow Chinese parties that are not racist. Malaysia should emulate this 1st world government.

I would not equate PAS and PKR as the one and the same party. PKR is quite clear in terms of what it’s advocating (rule of law, anti-corruption etc)whereas PAS equates being Islamic as voting for PAS. Its ability to convey this convincingly enough to voters is restricted by its own argument and voter demographics meaning the number of people who would be taken in by this would be Muslims who agree with PAS’s narrow interpretation of Islamic laws and principles. The Hizb ut-Tahrir and the Caliphate State were banned in Germany as they were said to be anti-constitutional not that they were Islamic. The Hizb ut-Tahrir advocated a ‘new caliphate’ to replace the current world order.

Malaysia has to chart its own course and not blindly emulate any nation, first world or third world. It is a delicate balance we tread between nationalist sentiments and racist sentiments from whichever side of the fence we may be on. Going racial is always the easiest way to garner support for it appeals the lowest denominator in the human psyche – the distrust of those who are different because they are different. All parties in Malaysia including BN and DAP have descended to this except perhaps PKR.
